Why We Love It

A magic umbrella that makes "rainy days something to look forward to." The fabric made with Yamanashi's "Koshu-ori" has a beautiful sheen, and the "basa" sound the moment you open it is different. The crispness and suppleness only come from being made one umbrella at a time by artisans. Used carefully and repaired as needed, it becomes more than a lifelong piece — a treasure that can be passed down to the next generation.

PROFILE About the Company / Workshop

Founded in 1930. In Nihonbashi, under the philosophy that "an umbrella is part of fashion," artisans still tailor each step by hand to this day.

A commitment to material expression — Yamanashi's traditional "Koshu-ori," "hogushi-ori" that loosens threads to add nuance, linen and more — building Japan-made Western umbrellas that balance beauty and practicality.

Representative series include TwoPly, Wabana, Konomi and Shirabe. A lineup you can choose to suit purpose and attire.

After-purchase repair and maintenance are supported. We propose a piece you can love for a long time with attachment.

Drawing on traditional techniques — twisting, dyeing, warping and weaving — to express nuance through color and weave.

From wooden mold to stretching and sewing, each step is tailored by hand by artisans.

Repair and maintenance supported as long as parts are available. A piece to be used for the long term.
