_Fot is a Japanese brand that started in the 2016-17 fall/winter season. The brand name derives from "for things." It carries the intent of redefining fashion items such as shoes and small goods as a presence that bridges "things" and "space."

The base of design and production is Japan. Teaming up with furniture makers and woodworking artisans, the brand has developed shoes and accessories using wood heels and bent-wood parts. A major characteristic of the brand is applying insights into form and structure cultivated in the interior world to footwear.

In its first season, the brand announced wood-heel pumps made together with woodworking artisans and an accessory collection featuring wood as the star. Since then, it has developed collections centered on wood-motif items — including sandals with wooden spheres, bags using bent wood in the base, and jewelry from the Wood Series.

Today, centered on the "_Fot Online Store," the brand is carried by select shops and department stores both at home and abroad. Starting from shoes and extending into bags, accessories, and interior objects, the brand continues to propose beautiful products as "tools that accompany life."
