Aso's blessings and Higo Zogan inlay: items from the Land of Fire.

Agricultural and livestock products nurtured by Aso's volcanoes and rich water, alongside local dishes like Akaushi beef, horse meat, and mustard lotus root (karashi renkon). Kumamoto is a prefecture holding a strong image of robust food, true to the name "Land of Fire." On the other hand, delicate craftsmanship is also passed down, such as Higo Zogan inlay and metal, wood, and bamboo work. Conscious of a Made in Japan-first lifestyle, you can choose Kumamoto items supporting the dining table and your immediate surroundings together.

Aso's Meat and Vegetables: Order-in Meals

Akaushi beef raised around Aso, and processed goods using vegetables and rice unique to Kumamoto, are existences capable of playing both leading and supporting roles in meals. In addition to meat for steaks and BBQ, we will introduce lineups where you can taste Aso's blessings, focusing on products easy to incorporate daily in small quantities, like curries, hamburgers, and soups.

Mustard Lotus Root and Local Drinking Snacks

Mustard lotus root, made by stuffing lotus root holes with mustard miso, coating with batter, and deep-frying, is a representative Kumamoto local dish. Along with pre-sliced items ready to eat and sets where you can enjoy them freshly fried, we introduce items making home drinking fun with typical Kumamoto snacks like horse sashimi and takana pickles.

Higo Zogan Inlay and Wood/Bamboo Tools

Higo Zogan inlay, embedding gold and silver into a black base metal, is a decorative technique developed from sword handguards and is currently passed down as accessories and small items. Combined with daily necessities like chopsticks, cutting boards, and baskets using wood and bamboo, we introduce Kumamoto tools that gently add a soft glow to daily life.
