Sanuki udon, olives, and islands of small crafts.

Known as the home of Sanuki udon, Kagawa has nurtured a noodle culture easily enjoyed at home via sets of dried noodles and soup base. Alongside foods like Shodoshima olives, soy sauce, and somen noodles, crafts such as Kagawa lacquerware, Marugame uchiwa fans, and temari balls also breathe life here. When considering a Made in Japan-first kitchen and lifestyle, it's a prefecture where you can choose a combination of noodles and olives, lacquer tableware, and fans.

Sanuki Udon Noodles and Dashi

Characterized by its chewy noodles, Sanuki udon offers an abundance of products bringing you closer to authentic flavors at home, such as dried noodles, semi-fresh noodles, and dashi-infused soup bases or dashi packs. We will introduce sets easy to incorporate into daily dining, alongside pointers on how to choose according to the eating style—like bukkake, kamatama, or kake udon.

Shodoshima Olives and Soy Sauce: Setouchi Seasonings

Extra virgin oil pressed from Shodoshima olives, fresh pickled olives, the island's soy sauce, tsukudani, and somen noodles are foods holding a mild flavor typical of the Seto Inland Sea. We will introduce items slightly enriching daily cooking, focusing on seasonings and sets easy to match with salads, pastas, and Japanese food.

Kagawa Lacquerware and Marugame Uchiwa: Small Sanuki Crafts

Kagawa holds many small crafts fitting comfortably in your hands, such as Kagawa lacquerware trays and small boxes applying techniques like Kinma and Choshitsu, Marugame uchiwa fans with beautiful round bamboo handles, and vividly colored Sanuki Kagari Temari balls. We will introduce mainly items easy to incorporate into summer cooling or seasonal arrangements, alongside their backgrounds.
