SANAX is a Tokyo-Adachi-based brand planning, manufacturing, and selling luxury slippers and room shoes. Since the predecessor workshop was born in 1979, the brand has applied shoemaker techniques to indoor footwear, aiming for a pair that can be worn with satisfaction for years to come. The idea of starting from the wooden last, sewing that leverages leather texture, and ingenuity in parts touching the sole of the foot — traces of handwork remain in the details. In 2020, "moco Hands Free®" was developed, challenging ease of taking on and off. Beyond standard slippers and room shoes, the brand offers a wide lineup including doctor shoes, travel shoes, insoles, and shoes. Some models incorporate an original material combining carbon fiber and copper fiber — and name engraving and gift wrapping are also available.

Bag-sewn construction that doesn't show seams
To leverage leather characteristics, the brand uses "taining" sewing (bag sewing) where seams don't appear on the surface. Sewing → steaming the leather → turning inside out — this process is repeated many times, shaping the form while supple-ly arranging the leather. Beyond visual neatness, the texture that fits as you wear is also cherished.
