Oiseushi - Oise Chikusan LLC
A new Mie brand beef born in Ise no Kuni — walking together with Ise Grand Shrine. Where lean meat and fat harmonize.
"Oiseushi (OISE BEEF)" is a new brand beef of Mie Prefecture — born in the land of Ise no Kuni — which has walked history together with Ise Grand Shrine. At Oise Chikusan — with stables in green-rich Taiki Town, Mie — based on livestock experience continuing from the grandfather's generation — under the thinking "raising healthy cattle leads to reassuring, safe, and delicious meat" — practicing breeding considering animal welfare. With clean water of the Miyagawa River basin and the land's power blessed with mountains, rivers, and sea, the unique-blend eco-feed centered on domestic, low-pesticide rice straw, and hand-feeding while watching each animal's condition — birthing devoted luxury meat where lean meat umami and high-quality marbling beautifully harmonize. Soft and juicy yet with a clean aftertaste. Also receiving high evaluation from chefs as flavor worthy of meat sushi and Japanese cuisine.
Why We Love It
Should be eaten especially by the adult generation who say "marbled meat causes stomach upset"! Without pursuing excessive marbling — meat from healthy-raised cattle has deep lean flavor and silky-melting fat. The meat's original umami spreading the more you chew — the correct answer is to taste with just salt and wasabi. Dignified beef nurtured by the Ise land — worthy of decorating special-day dining tables.
PROFILE About the Company / Workshop
Oise Chikusan — with stables in nature-rich Taiki Town, Mie Prefecture — is a family-managed livestock farm involved in livestock since the grandfather's generation. Through long years facing cattle breeding — arrived at the thinking "raising healthy cattle leads to reassuring, safe, and delicious meat" — and from that thought — was born the new Mie brand beef "Oiseushi."
In the background of Oiseushi's concept — the story of "Ise no Kuni" — the land that has walked history together with Ise Grand Shrine. From Kuwana in the north to Ise, Iitaka, Taki, and Watarai in the south — also appearing in the Nihon Shoki and Kojiki as a large country of 13 districts — Ise no Kuni. In the rich land where Amaterasu Omikami is said to have called "Umashi Kuni" — wishing "a beautiful, good country; I want to stay in this country" — Oiseushi is nurtured.
At the breeding site — emphasizing animal welfare thinking — focusing energy on reducing cattle stress and disease. At the cattle barn — while observing each animal's health state and fat condition — feeding eco-feed centered on domestic — blending low-pesticide rice straw with rice bran, husks, mushroom bed, and wheat bran. Without relying on automatic feeders — by giving by hand daily — performing cattle health management as if a personal trainer.
Also — Oiseushi's deliciousness is verified not only by senses but also by scientific approach — quantifying umami components. With deep richness umami of lean meat and mellow sweetness from beautifully-entered marbling well-balanced and coexisting — to get closer to the ideal flavor of "juicy and soft, yet with a clean aftertaste" — daily improvements in breeding methods and feed blending continue.
That flavor also has excellent compatibility with meat sushi and Japanese cuisine — at "Wa-niku [Oniku] Kanegoto" — opened near Ise's Geku Sando — providing course cuisine using various Oiseushi parts. Through dishes combined with Ise-Shima's seasonal ingredients — expressing Ise no Kuni's rich climate on one plate. Going forward — through restaurant handling, planning, and product development — delivering Oiseushi's appeal to dining tables and dining-out scenes nationwide — as "luxury beef born from Ise no Kuni walking together with Ise Grand Shrine."

Clean water of the clear Miyagawa basin and eco-feed from domestic, low-pesticide ingredients
The Miyagawa flowing through Ise no Kuni — a first-class river — is known as a clear stream that has shone as Japan's number-one in water quality surveys many times. Adopting eco-feed uniquely blended with as much domestic ingredients as possible — centered on low-pesticide rice straw — with rice bran, husks, mushroom bed, and wheat bran. By making the feed balance close to what cattle originally ate — balancing cattle health and environmental consideration.
Animal-welfare-compliant breeding — putting cattle health first
At Oise Chikusan — based on "animal welfare" thinking also recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture — thinking that reducing livestock stress and disease leads to safe livestock product production. Thoroughly enforcing a hand-feeding style while watching each animal's condition — not automatic feeding — supporting healthy body building while preventing fat excess. By accompanying as the cattle's "personal trainer" — realizing meat quality with excellent balance of quality fat and lean meat.
Flavor with excellent lean meat and marbling balance — verified by quantifying umami
Oiseushi is a brand beef pursuing both lean meat's original umami and deep richness from fine marbling. Characterized by being soft and juicy yet with a clean aftertaste not too heavy.
