Tableau Kobo inherits traditional glassmaking techniques while creating handmade glassware that is "easy to use" and "never gets boring." One of the studio's core techniques is sandblasting, where fine grains of sand are sprayed onto the glass to create both matt and glossy areas. This technique is a development of the method used by Art Nouveau master Emile Gallé. Combined with traditional Japanese techniques such as Edo Kiriko, it gives birth to the original "Choukoku Glass" series, Edo Glass made in Tokyo, and Edo Kiriko pieces with motifs including classic small patterns and ukiyo-e.
