YAECA started in 2002, launched by designers Tetsuhiro Hattori and Kyoko Ide. The brand name "Yaeka" is a coined word carrying the desire to be a style of layered clothes and clothes that can be layered day by day. At launch, the lineup began with about 10 styles combining Comfort Shirts and pants.

The concept is "necessary simplicity." With the era's backdrop where anonymous design was beginning to gain attention, from the thought of wanting to create clothes as "products" rather than "clothing," the brand has designed clothes necessary for daily life with simplicity and functionality — no more, no less.

Comfort Shirts, chinos, pocket T-shirts, and denim — standards since launch — continue to be developed today with improvements in fabric and details each season. Through chino cloth woven on vintage looms, soft sweats, and unisex housewear, the brand has pursued clothing making that can be worn for a long time in daily life, regardless of age or gender.

Today, through directly managed stores, the official online store "YAECAYA," and select shops nationwide, the brand widely develops men's, women's, and unisex items. Through shops handling interiors, vessels, and food, gallery operations, and collaborations with other brands, it has evolved into a brand that proposes "high-quality daily life" comprehensively.
