Kimura Peanuts

Kimura Peanuts is a specialty shop that has continued to deliver the deliciousness of locally grown peanuts in the southern Boso area of Chiba — known as a peanut-growing region. Centered on its main store and factory in Tateyama City, the shop handles everything in-house, from soil preparation and cultivation to roasting and processing.

The flagship variety is "Chiba Hantachi," known for rich flavor and aroma. Through careful work at each fine step — how it's grown in the field, how it's dried, the heat of the roast — the result is a peanut with depth and fragrance.

With a broad processed-product range — in-shell and hand-shelled peanuts, peanut paste, peanut powder, peanut miso, peanut pie manju, peanuts daiko and more — they cover a wide range, from home use to gifts.

In addition to the Tateyama store, the Michi-no-Eki Shonan store also sells peanut soft-serve, ice cream and gift sets. Through the online shop, they ship nationwide too — continuing to share Chiba's peanut culture with all of Japan.
