Why We Love It

Anyone who finds "the cutting board too heavy to wash" should try this! A paulownia cutting board is so light you can lift it with one hand, and it drains water so well that black mold rarely forms. The "canisters" and "rice keepers" made from artisan-selected paulownia have excellent humidity regulation and insect resistance too — ideal for storing food. Magic wooden tools that quietly make daily chores feel lighter.

PROFILE About the Company / Workshop

About 70 years since founding. Across three generations, we have faced the character of paulownia and translated it into the tools of today.

Light, quick to dry, regulating humidity — paulownia. We propose products that come into their own in the daily kitchen, drawing on those advantages — cutting boards, canisters, trays and more.

From log sourcing through finishing, all in-house

Material selection, milling, wooden base and finishing — all completed in-house. A system that lets us take responsibility through quality.
