Why We Love It

The panoramic terrace overlooking the Kofu Basin and Mt. Fuji is the best! The parfait of freshly picked peaches and grapes eaten here is, without exaggeration, a life reward. The hospitality as a tourist orchard is also wonderful — with care reaching visitors like the cherry house enjoyable even on rainy days. Yamanashi's VIP seat — to be visited by those greedy people who say "I don't want to give up either scenery or taste."

PROFILE About the Company / Workshop

Hagihara Fruit Farm is a tourist fruit orchard that has continued fruit making across generations on the south-facing slope of Ochiai, Yamanashi City — suited to fruit tree cultivation. Elevation difference in fields, long sunshine hours, and day-night temperature differences draw out the sweetness and aroma of fruits centered on cherries, peaches, and grapes.

Since opening as a tourist orchard, under the thought "we want you to taste seasonal deliciousness right in the field as-is," the farm has put effort into cherry, peach, and grape fruit picking. By preparing all-you-can-eat courses and plans with ample time, the farm aims for a style enjoyable without stress even for families and group trips.

At "Yamakiya Cafe" on the grounds, to make people feel the farm's appeal even outside fruit picking seasons, seasonal fruit sweets, dessert plates, and afternoon tea are provided. From the panoramic terrace overlooking Mt. Fuji and Kofu Basin, with coffee and wine — it's also gaining popularity as a cafe where you can relax.

In addition to grapes and peaches, Hagihara Fruit Farm is also challenging new crops like olives. Olive oil pressed from self-grown olives and salt-pickled olives have become popular hometown tax return gifts and online shop products. Also, putting effort into food safety, environmental protection, and labor safety, by obtaining "Yamanashi GAP" certification, the farm focuses on sustainable agricultural management.

Outside the farm — organic events, regional marche participation, cooperation as a matchmaking event venue, and other region-connecting initiatives are also abundant. While cherishing place-making where people meet people and people meet nature through the fruit farm field, the farm aims to pass Yamanashi's fruit culture and scenery to the next generation.
