Kutani Yui-gama - Yui Koubou -

Miranti Japan Co., Ltd., which operates "Kutani Yui-gama (Yui Koubou)," was founded in 2004 as a manufacturer handling electrical and industrial machinery production. From 2011, it started glass products using sandblast carving techniques and experience workshops, and in that process deepened its involvement with ceramics — including name engraving on Kutani-yaki nameplates and vases.

Entering the world of Kutani-yaki from another industry, the company faced many challenges in creating new molds and on the manufacturing side. There, it built an "integrated production system" that completes everything in-house — from clay making to mold forming, bisque firing, main firing, and overglaze painting. While inheriting traditional techniques, it incorporates new technologies such as 3D CAD and digital printing, expanding the possibilities of Kutani-yaki.

In addition to aroma diffusers, soap dishes, and multi-coasters utilizing the porous ceramic "Qpor," the brand develops a diverse range of products — including wireless chargers combining Kutani-yaki and electronics, smartphone accessories, tableware, and interior items. It has also accumulated award histories such as Ishikawa Premium Brand and OMOTENASHI Selection, and has been featured in numerous media and magazines.

From a small kiln in Uchikoshi-machi, Kaga City — a town of about 300 people — with the desire to "breathe new wind into Kutani-yaki," Kutani Yui-gama continuously transmits projects that connect local resources, technology, and people. With both products that accompany life and the two wheels of OEM and made-to-order, the brand continues to propose the form of next-generation Kutani-yaki.

A next-generation kiln that ties Kutani-yaki with technologies from other industries

Leveraging know-how cultivated in the development of electrical and industrial machinery, the brand continuously creates unprecedented Kutani-yaki products — such as the porous ceramic "Qpor" jointly developed with the Kutani-yaki Technology Center, and the wireless charger that fuses electrical technology with Kutani-yaki.

Design and decoration using 3D CAD, 3D printers, and digital printing

By combining mold design and prototype production with 3D CAD, 3D printers, and NC cutting machines with overglaze transfer through digital printing and digital plate-making, the brand efficiently reproduces complex shapes and full-color designs. It has a system that flexibly handles everything from small-lot prototypes to mass production.

In-house integrated production from mold forming to firing and decoration

Various forming methods — including press forming, pressure casting, slip casting, and roller machine forming — and processes from bisque firing, glazing, main firing, to overglaze firing are all completed in-house. By advancing data and standardization of processes, the brand pursues a system where consistent quality and small-lot, multi-product production are possible without relying on individual artisans.

Giving "form to thoughts" through OEM and made-to-order

The brand also handles Kutani-yaki OEM through collaborations with companies and brands, as well as made-to-order production for commemorative items and novelties. Based on the Qpor series, Kutani-yaki wireless charger, and multi-coaster, it proposes original designs tailored to use cases and target audiences.
