JENNE was launched in 2019 by Yuka Usami, also known as the designer of the maternity brand "CHOCOA." Under the concept of "for mature women, dignified and cute like a Parisienne," the brand started as a ladies' brand focused on its in-house EC site.

In 2020, shortly after its brand debut, the trend-free concept of "clothes that make you look beautiful" and popular items such as the Audrey Look Airy Dress became a topic — gaining over 20,000 customers within one year of opening. Word of mouth spread mainly on SNS, with many items selling out online.

Subsequently, the brand also expanded physical stores to major cities nationwide, starting with Omotesando, Tokyo. In stores, popular items that sell out immediately on the online shop and full new collections are deployed — drawing many fans as a place to experience the JENNE world view through the space itself.

Today, with its headquarters in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture and its Tokyo office, the brand develops ladies' apparel through channels including EC, stores, and ZOZOTOWN. While also broadcasting to Japan and abroad — participating in Paris Fashion Week and more — the brand continues to make "clothes that make you look beautiful, that you'll want to treasure for a long time."

Partnering with domestic factories including a long-established sewing factory founded in 1945, the brand produces under an integrated system from cutting to sewing to pressing. Fabric is cut one piece at a time while suppressing distortion, and with pattern design that calculates for shrinkage and distortion combined with high sewing technology, the brand achieves a beauty of finish that comes through precisely because the designs are simple.
