Ramuda is produced by Ichihara Co., Ltd., based in Nihonbashi Kayabacho, Tokyo. The company was founded in 1946 — starting as a belt maker — and has continued building umbrellas and fashion accessories over the decades. Today it develops two brands: the Made-in-Japan umbrella label Ramuda, and the accessory brand ICHIHARA.
Umbrellas are shaped by careful material choices: Koshu-ori fabric, natural-wood handles, and frames selected for style, durability, and function. In 2014, an in-house workshop was established to support craftsmanship, including precise pattern matching and cutting methods before sewing.
The range covers long umbrellas and folding umbrellas across men's, women's, and kids' lines. You can narrow by purpose — strong water repellency, sunshade/heat-blocking, all-weather — then by specs such as wind-resistant frames, lightweight designs, or automatic open/close.
