Sumida, Tokyo was once known as a “soap town” in the early 1900s. MIYOSHI SOAP is one of the makers that has continued manufacturing there for over a century. The company began with industrial soaps for textile use and later expanded into products for the body, kitchen, and laundry, building its base as a comprehensive cleaning-products manufacturer.

A major turning point came in 1986. With environmental impact in mind, MIYOSHI stopped using synthetic surfactants and shifted toward making products with “100% soap-based” cleansing ingredients. The priority is not efficiency alone, but a steady commitment to people and the environment.

The raw materials are natural fats and oils such as tallow, rapeseed oil, and palm oil. Because additive-free soap reflects the qualities of its oils, MIYOSHI selects high-quality materials. The brand also emphasizes transparency by listing ingredients in detail and keeping a close eye on traceability from sourcing to production.

MIYOSHI takes soap-making seriously, from refining and processing oils to producing finished goods.
