MSPC master piece
A Made-in-Japan bag brand combining functional beauty and fashion appeal.
Started in 1994, the bag brand "master-piece" continues to create products that fuse fashion appeal and high functionality at a Japanese level of quality, premised on everyday use. Original materials developed with domestic and overseas partners are carefully tailored at the in-house factory "BASE OSAKA," offering functional beauty that stays close to modern lifestyles.
Why We Love It
Overturns the assumption that "well-designed bags are hard to use." Your eye is drawn to the fashion appeal of mixed materials, but bags tailored by craftspeople at the in-house factory "BASE OSAKA" are perfect on function too — pocket placement, water repellency and more. Repair support is thorough as well — a brand you can trust as a partner you can use hard, from business to outdoors.
PROFILE About the Company / Workshop
Born in 1994, master-piece started from bag making premised on "use in daily life." By combining trend-aware design with pocket placement and storage that truly help with city walks and commutes, the brand continues to propose bags that are fashion items yet trustworthy as gear.
MSPC Inc., which handles planning and design, manages production in-house from the Osaka head office in cooperation with the in-house factory "BASE OSAKA" (Hirano Ward, Osaka) and a factory in Toyooka City, Hyogo. As more companies shift to overseas production, the deliberate commitment to domestic factories — and to the identity of being a "Made-in-Japan bag brand" — is a major characteristic.
Material selection is also thorough. Based on the original fabric "MASTERTEX" series (combining durability and water repellency) and CORDURA® fabric, weight, weave and coating are tuned by use. The result resists losing shape over years of use and stands up to rain and sweat — finished with a refined look that blends into an outfit.
In recent years, projects that embody the brand's philosophy have rolled out — including a series that upcycles seat materials of the GR Yaris and GR Corolla through collaboration with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, and a 30th anniversary collection. Through directly run stores across Japan, the online store and overseas partner shops, the brand projects its presence to the world as a Japan-born bag brand.
