Nekosodate began with the worry "what if my cat gets lost" while living with a rescued cat that originally disliked collars — leading to the search for a collar with minimal burden on the cat.

After repeated prototyping, the original "Serious Collar®" was born, combining lightweight domestic cotton, soft core material, and a safety buckle that releases at a certain load. The focus was on enabling indoor-kept cats to wear it daily and to have contact information writable on the back.

Today, beyond collars, the brand carefully selects items that enrich life with cats — including ID tags, cat food, dental care products, cat toys, cat-motif goods, and even tea and sweets for humans. Based at the Nishi-Ogikubo storefront, it continues to spread "manufacturing sincere to cats" through event participation and online sales.

Light, soft collars for cats who dislike collars

With a unique design combining cotton material and a thin core, the collar is designed to minimize the sensation of being worn while securely holding an ID tag.

Safety buckle that releases at a certain load

Multiple safety buckles such as EX Soft and Kitty Clip are adopted — all designed to release when force above a certain threshold is applied. Even if the collar catches on furniture, the risk of an accident is reduced.

Designs that don't get buried in fur, with subdued patterns

Shapes like bandana-style and detachable-collar style are used, designed not to get buried in fur. Centered on patterns that complement a cat's atmosphere without being "overly cute," such as arabesque and paisley.

Available both at a small storefront in Nishi-Ogikubo, Tokyo, and online. The team offers proposals tailored to life with cats, including tips for putting on collars and fitting them properly.
