Thanks to an anti-redeposition agent, dirt that has come off once does not return to the clothes. So even using leftover bath water, you can spin-dry without rinsing. Not only does this save water and electricity — it also greatly reduces the damage (friction) to your clothes.

Since I started using "Umi e... Step," my whole idea of laundry has changed. With no rinsing required, laundry time has been cut in half and the water bill has dropped visibly. Above all, the fact that wool, silk and down jackets can be washed with this one bottle is just too easy! It finishes fluffy without fabric softener, and the faint lavender scent is comforting. Laundry Detergent "Umi e... Step"
Zero rinses, no fabric softener. Laundry, finished with this one bottle.
A highly biodegradable laundry detergent born from research into tanker oil-spill cleanup. It dissolves easily in water and produces little foam, so rinsing isn't needed. A neutral detergent that can wash wool, silk and down, letting you care for dry-mark clothing at home. Lavender essential-oil scent.
For daily laundry, delicate-wear washing and down jacket washing. Diluted and sprayed, it also works for wiping rooms.
Maki-Maki Ganko Cross
No detergent needed. Lifts stains off like an eraser, with the power of rubber.
A cleaning cloth made of cotton fabric soaked in rubber latex (natural rubber). Just wet it and rub — oil stains on the stovetop, water scale around the sink, tea stains and more come off remarkably well. A roll type you can cut to the length you need with scissors.
For oil stains around the kitchen, tub scale, and to remove black scuffs from sneaker rubber. Also for inside the microwave, where you don't want to use detergent.

A dish detergent — the sister product of "Umi e...". Excellent at finely breaking down oil stains, and it keeps oil from coating the drainage pipes. So gentle on skin that it can even be diluted and foamed for use as "face wash" or "body soap." A scent like an Aomori hiba forest.

Shacchitto Spray
For stains you'd given up on. A bleach-free stain remover that doesn't damage fabric.
A spray that targets food drops on clothes and sebum on collars and cuffs. The cleaning power of "Umi e..." in a concentrated form, with no bleach or fluorescent brighteners — so it's safe on colored prints. Just spray it before washing, as pre-care.
For shirt collar stains, food drops and blood stains. Also excellent as a detergent when washing sneakers.
Korekara no Fukin (Sponge Wipe)
Outstanding absorbency. A sponge wipe you can bury in soil at the end to return to nature.
A 100% natural-material wipe made from fiber (cellulose) from wood off-cuts and cotton. It absorbs more than 10 times its own weight in water and dries quickly, so it stays hygienic. Once it's worn out, bury it in soil — microorganisms break it down and return it to the earth.
As a dish-drying mat, a wipe for the table, or for water droplets in the washroom. Also handy for wiping down after a car wash.
