PROFILE Company & Brand Story
Kalita began in 1958 in Nihonbashi, Tokyo and became a company in 1959. As home coffee culture grew, it focused on practical tools that work in real kitchens and shops. The headquarters is in Yokohama (Kanagawa), with an additional base in Osaka, supplying equipment nationwide.
The signature Wave Series is built around dedicated parts. The Wave filter's 20 ridges create space between paper and dripper, while the internal Wave Zone supports airflow. Combined with a flat-bottom design and the three-hole concept, the system is meant to keep water flow easier to manage. With 155 and 185 sizes, picking the right set stays simple.
