RIVER LIGHT
Iron quality, rust-resistant. Your everyday essential pan.
RIVER LIGHT's "Kiwame JAPAN" series applies a proprietary nitriding + oxidizing heat treatment to iron, making it exceptionally rust-resistant without sacrificing iron's signature performance. No pre-seasoning needed after purchase — just wash and wipe dry. From standard frying pans to heavy-duty 3.2mm thick-plate models, the lineup serves both home cooks and professionals.
PROFILE Company & Brand Story
Founded in 1976, RIVER LIGHT has remained committed to iron cookware, earning the loyalty of serious home cooks for nearly half a century.
In 2006, the brand launched its nitrided iron pan "Kiwame," and has since refined that innovation into the "Kiwame JAPAN" line — delivering both exceptional rust resistance and the high-heat searing performance that only iron can provide.
Nitriding + Oxidizing Treatment
Far more rust-resistant than standard iron cookware, and built to last a lifetime. The nitriding process hardens the iron surface using nitrogen, increasing strength without any coating that can peel or chip.
Easy Maintenance
No pre-seasoning required after purchase. After cooking, simply wash with a scrubbing brush and wipe dry. The pan naturally builds up seasoning with each use.
3.2mm Heavy-Duty Models
The thick-plate line delivers restaurant-grade performance at home. Excellent for searing steaks, making gyoza with a crispy crust, and any dish that benefits from consistent high heat.
