Starting soap making in the era of postwar material shortages, the company today has its headquarters in Minato-ku, Tokyo and its own factory in Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture — handling everything from product planning to manufacturing and sales in-house.

The brand logo "pelican" was adopted as "a symbol of family love," because the pelican is said to be an affectionate bird that cherishes its children and family.
