PROFILE Company & Brand Story

Fujita Kinzoku was founded in 1951 in Yao City, Osaka, as a small metalworking factory producing everyday iron cookware. Three generations later, it remains a workshop where traditional craft skills — press forming, hand-finishing, and tool-making — coexist with modern NC machines and laser cutters.

Their signature "Hard Temper Processing" applies a factory-grade seasoning to every iron pan before it ships, giving it a naturally rust-resistant surface without chemical coatings. The result: no pre-seasoning ritual, no waiting — just cook.

The brand's most celebrated creation is the "JIU" (ジュウ) frying pan, co-developed with Tokyo design studio TENT. Its flat plate-like form goes from stove to table, and its detachable handle locks on from any direction. JIU has won the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award — proof that thoughtful iron craft can also be world-class design.
