MIDORI

"Bringing color to daily life." A Japanese stationery brand that starts with paper.

MIDORI is a Japanese stationery brand that began in 1950 with the production of letter paper and envelopes. With the theme "Bringing color to daily life," it develops design-focused items that enrich everyday scenes — from paper goods for expressing feelings to functional tools that are simply more enjoyable when used with paper. The texture in your hand, the smooth glide, and the subtle feedback as your pen moves across the page: these sensory qualities shape every product in the lineup.

PROFILE Company & Brand Story

MIDORI began in 1950 as a producer of letter paper and envelopes, and has grown into a Japanese design stationery brand. With the theme "Bringing color to daily life," it continues to develop products that enrich everyday moments through design.

At the heart of the brand are paper products that help people communicate feelings. MIDORI pays attention to how paper feels in the hand, how smoothly it moves under a pen, and the subtle feedback that makes writing comfortable — along with color and texture that speak to the senses.

The lineup expands naturally: message cards, letterpads and envelopes, notebooks and memo pads, planners and diaries, journals, sticky notes, stickers, and wrapping items. The range makes it easy to pick what fits your own habits and scenes.

With MD PAPER PRODUCTS, MIDORI builds around "MD PAPER," a paper refined for writing since the 1960s. MD PAPER (Cream) was introduced in 2006, and MD PAPER (Cotton) — with 20% cotton pulp — followed in 2013. In 2006, the "Swing Bird" correction tape received the Good Design Award, and TRAVELER'S notebook was also launched, later evolving into the TRAVELER'S COMPANY brand.
